White Flag "Eternally Undone"
Empty Records, Germany

A legend impressively reports back with a new album. White Flag was already damned melodius punk, however this is by no means a shearing force. They have become "the Beatles of Punk", yet at present I find the Beatles deathly boring. White Flag on the other hand are phenominal. Listen to the hymns like "Don't Bring Me" or "Marshwiggle" or also any of the their tracks from this cd and you will become as enraptured as I. The entirety reminds me of a grandiose Hollywood tease from Germany. Both videos for pc ownership charm indeed, but not because of good production quality. However everthing else rocked profoundly. $tupid.

White Flag "Eternally Undone"

Empty Records, Germany

Ten years after the Pop-Punk-Opus of White Flag they report back with a new record. When we speak of White Flag we gladly endeavor to define them as the forefathers of pop-punk, the Beatles of punkrock or only simply as legendary even though an album hasn't come out from them in ten years and that has not passed by only me as largely unnoticed. Exactly at the twenty year anniversary, White Flag now reports back with "Eternally Undone" and can draw upon an illustrious guest list with recording contributions by Tim Armstrong (Rancid), Eric Erlandson (Hole), Pat Smear (Germs, Foo fighters) as well as members of Sator and the Voodo Glow Skulls. The rather large release did not become "Eternally Undone" because although one has to grant recording tape for an impressive framework of comprehensible melodies, the songs produced are often a trace too flabby or old baked to carry conviction. Reliably there are exceptions ("Marshwiggle," "Don't bring me," "R.U. Receiving me?"), yet many pieces run by without one taking notice of them. Never the less, whoever
likes pop-punkrock should risk an ear, despite the really unbelievably ugly cover art.
